Accessibility statement

A resident standing in a laundry room needs this to work, whatever they are using to read it.

The standard we target

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a minimum target. Accessibility was designed in rather than retrofitted.

What that means here

  • Semantic HTML with a correct heading order on every page
  • A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element
  • Every interactive element reachable and operable by keyboard
  • A visible, branded focus indicator — never the browser default removed without replacement
  • Text and interface colours checked against their backgrounds for AA contrast rather than judged by eye
  • Real labels on every form field, with errors announced in text and not signalled by colour alone
  • Descriptive alternative text on content images; decorative layers hidden from assistive technology
  • The before/after comparison operable with the arrow keys, and understandable without using it at all
  • prefers-reduced-motion honoured as a genuine kill switch in both CSS and JavaScript
  • No essential information delivered only through animation
  • Tap targets sized for a phone held in one hand in a laundry room
  • Every page usable with JavaScript unavailable, apart from form submission

Known limitations

  • File upload fields depend on a storage endpoint that is not yet configured.
  • Third-party analytics and CRM scripts added after launch are outside our direct control; we will assess them before adding them.
  • This site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist. [EXTERNAL AUDIT — PENDING]

Physical facilities

Our room designs apply ADA-aware clearances at folding surfaces and circulation routes. Existing building conditions vary, and what is achievable in a given room depends on the structure we inherit. We will tell you honestly what is and is not possible in a specific space.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site or one of our laundry rooms is difficult for you to use, we want to know. Email [ACCESSIBILITY CONTACT EMAIL] or call [PHONE]. Tell us what you were trying to do and we will fix it or find another way to help you.
